1985 marathon belt/clutch issue fixed!
Woohoo.! So the issue with my cart not wanting to release the belt when stopped has been resolved! It was a clutch issue after all. I removed the clutch (new style comet) and disassembled it and discovered that the clutch had been apart before and the pucks/weights were not installled correctly. I cleaned the parts lubed it up and put it back together and presto. Now it works as it should. The engine starts up and then the cart starts to move
 as the rpms come up and now will roll when setting still. Thanks to all with the great help and replies! Dave |
