Yep, the tighter you can get them without sacrificing performance..the better.

The gokart guys run them at 0 lash because they open with heat. I don't hear mine that much and have to open it a little from .004 because the comp release comes on too soon, need to idle it a little slower than 900....or open just the comp relief valve.
