Question on batteries and wiring

Ok this might be a dumb question. I'm going to buy an ezgo marathon electric. The people who are selling it are currently running it on a 12 volt battery that has been rerouted from the pedal to a push button. My question is can i use 3 12 volt batteries versus 6 6volt golf cart batteries. Second question does anyone have a simple wiring diagram or could give me instructions on how to rewire this back to the pedal itself, thanks

the EZGO electric forum has the diagrams you looking for. as far as the batteries. you can run 12 V but you will have a real low run time. for best performance you will want to stay with the 6V batteries. if you post this question up in the electric forum I am sure you willl get a lot of help on it. you can also use the search feature and learn a lot there.
