Am I missing anything?
I just bought a 1996 Yami G14 gasser. It came directly off the course (after setting for awhile) so its in need of a makeover. I have all winter to do it, and wife said it needs to turn heads when we roll it into the campground in the spring.
Im going to start with function first. Heres my list so far: >Rejet carb, K&N air filter, high torque secondary clutch kit, do something with the governor, rebuild generator (precautionary), 2awg battery cables, new bushings in front end, new shocks on front and rear with HD springs on rear (planning on back seat). Would like to get somewhere around 18 mph out of the stock motor. If that is possible. Thinking about 14 inch wheels in back and 12 inchers in the front. Without telling me to drop in a big bore, or have a lot of motor work done is there anything else I can do to increase speed/torque? I have spent hours on this forum and I realize if you guys haven't tried it or done it, it probably ain't worth messing with. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. |

Re: Am I missing anything?
All sounds good to me except K&N, I'd keep the factory box.
Get with Essness (need to see his car!!) and Smallblock (he's done 2 or 3) on the wheels and tire fitment! Boke did a nice job on an ezgo as well!! Check that out in the G8 club. |

Re: Am I missing anything?
For all your performance upgrades go to plowmans carts.com or call and speak to don about what performance gains your looking for and he will set you up a kit for both the engine and clutching. IMHO the best way to go. But for colors, seats, wheels, lifts, stereo, lighting, etc, etc the sky is the limit.
