No spark at plug
1998 EZGO TXT, 295cc Robins. I have no spark at the spark plug.
The cart was running very well. Drove over to my daughter's house, 3 miles away, parked and visited for a few hours. When I tried to leave the cart would not start. Tested for a faulty solenoid. It was bad and was replaced. Drove back home and parked. The next morning the cart would not turn over. Checked starter/gen brushes and found them bad. Removed starter/gen to replace brushes and found the rotor bad. Replaced rotor and brushes and re-installed the unit. That's where we are now. The cart spins over very well but there is no spark at the plugs. I have verified this by pulling the plugs, reconnected them to the spark plug wires and grounding them. I try to start and everything spins as it is supposed to but there is no spark. How can I eliminate the coil or the ignitor? I don't have a good spare of either of these and as you know they are pricey. Thanks for your time and assistance on this. I am new to the golf cart world. Pop |
