Default newbie with ezgo question

i just picked up a 92 ezgo marathon,, it had the motor replaced with a robin 2 cylinder motor (2 cylinders not 2 stroke, but it might be 2-stroke an not 4-stroke?) from either another golf cart or something. model # of robin motor is FH28C. problem is it has very low compression an will not start, it is getting a spark on both cylinders. anyone got any info on these motors and a good place to buy rebuild kits?

well checked valves, they were good, pulled spark plugs, both sparking, then i looked down inside cylinders an pass side piston moving up an down, driver side not moving at all!! ooooo looks like connecting rod problems. rebuild in store or just replace motor.

All depends on how much damage is done and how handy you are.. Lots of folks are replacing with clone motors..
