Not too bad for a series cart. But I guess that is the nature of series carts.
I have a series cart, with 48v and a spm48400, new 4 ga wires and 23" tires and with the pq bandit I am running 21-22 tops. personally I don't it will go any faster.

I've got a couple of questions for you because you have done what I plan on doing in the future. My next step is a new controller and then when my pack goes, I am going to upgrade to 48v.

What upgrade showed you the biggest increase of speed or torque? I'm trying to decide on the 48400 or 48500 SPM. What kind of speeds do you get up a long big hill and what kind of torque increase did you see when you changed controllers?

The largest gain of speed and torque would be going to 48v hands down.
but that was also the most expensive. the first thing I did was go to 22" inch tires and that probally was the biggest gain in speed. 3-4 maybe. the next noteable gain was new wires and HD switch.
I am very happy with my 48400. I was going to buy the 48500 but I found the 48400 on ebay brand new for 215.00 bucks so I jumped all over it because it was so cheap. almost 1/2 price. but if I had to pay full price I would have just gone with the 48500. but to give you a idea I have had over 1000 pounds of people ride with me and I still could climb my fairly steep paved driveway with no problems. I cant say that I noticed any speed increase with the new controller only torque. but over time of adding all these things you will end up with something that I fairly fast and can play tug of war with a elephant. when we go off road I am never about where I can go (expect muddy boggy stuff). I can't imagine having a D&D MOTOR over my PQ.
