Actually, state registration and insurance for classic cars is dirt cheap. I pay only $30/year for 'tags' and $120 for replacement insurance coverage for each of three vintage cars ('54 MG-TF, '61 Mercedes 190, '83 Volvo DTM Turbo factory racer), but you're quite right about parts and maintenance...hideously expen$ive.

I got into carts as paddock vehicles at sports car races...now thanks to this site, I contracted the same affliction as everyone else here..who woulda thought I care more about finding an extra 2 hp from a yamaha single than finding a replacement Dunlop lever shock for my MG? Amazing.
