There was no socket for the running lights at all.
He saw 2 wires, flipped the switch on, tested power to those which were the headlights. Regardless I'm still proud of him knowing how to do it as I just showed him a couple of weeks ago for the first time. Quote:

These come in 5-packs. The standard bulb has a habit of melting the black housing. These leds are cheap too, i think about $.80/ea.
