2001 Ez go gas cart ?
i cant get my cart to spin the engine over without pulling the plugs.
my /?? is whne u hit the accelator pedal it gives the starter solenoid 12 volts. but when i have the meter on the starter theres only like 6 volts. isnt there supposed to bre 12v going to starter. if i take the cable off starter and [press the pedal there is 12 v. does this mean i have a starter problem or is it supposed to be like this |

Make sure the solenoid is working properly, and that you don't have any corrosion, niks, or broken/frayed wires as well as making sure the battery is good.
Put a load test on it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That means high resistance. Most likely the positive battery cable has internal corrosion, or ground points are corroded.

You have a short to ground somewhere is a good place to start. Do you own a multimeter with a continuity tester on it?
Also, I have seen when motors fail, it screws the voltages up and really throws you for a loop. Your starter may be starting to fail. Can you turn the motor over with relative ease with a wrench on the crankshaft? Or using the primary clutch instead of a wrench Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I took the belt off so i know its not anything to do with the engine itself! Gonna try cleaning grounds tomorrow. Starter turns strong wothout the belt hooked up but only get 8 volts to stater
