Drive and Sheave fell off
When I was driving this up a hill on the course it started making an awful rattle. Someone was pushing me and this whole cylinder looking part fell off. I believe it is the drive and sheave. The part that the drive belt goes around. Does it simply need the bolt and retaining washer put back in or is the problem much greater than that? This cart has always had a rattle but nothing terrible until today. It is about a 1999 ezgo gas cart. Thanks!

Re: Drive and Sheave fell off
Pull it off and see if the bolt broke or just came out. If the latter you just need a bolt and washer. Numbers 17, 18 and 19. http://products.jacobsen.com/img/manuals/28790-g01.pdf

Sounds like I mightve gotten lucky if thats all it is. Seems to be a pretty easy and cheap fix. Also Im guessing that explains the rattle it always had.

Re: Drive and Sheave fell off
Unlucky indeed. Plan is to try to get it out without taking the entire clutch out. Will try with a chisel and a hammer first and if not that maybe an ez out, if that doesnt work weld a nut to the end of it. Now is this bolt threaded normally or is it reverse threaded?

Put it in gear and lock the brakes.
