Default Tire size for 3" Jakes lift kit

Just put the kit on, It actually raises the cart 4". Will a 12 inch rim and
22" AT tires work? I have been seaching sites for a 21" tire and cannot find
anyone who sells them. I have been told a 22 with scrape.

Also putting in a 650 amp Altrax with a PQ motor, will be fast if that matters.

22" tire will be too big for a 3" lift. You need a 6" lift for a 22" tire.

Ok thanks, what are the consequences? I have installed the 3" lift kit and do not like the 20" tires on it. Is it a safety issue? What will happen if I put 22" tires on it?

This CC has a 3 inch Jakes spindle lift and 20" Carlisle Trailwolfs on it. Looks Good huh?

Mine has a 4" lift and 22" tires. It's hard for me to believe that one less inch would cause them to rub. JMO though.
Keep in mind that the back end is 1" higher now than it is in the pic. Now, the front and back is the same level.

Look real good!!! With the 22" tires they will probably rub when you turn. Call Jake's and check with them for sure. I just installed a 6" spindle lift from them with 23" tires and I had to put the extension kit (part #7260) on that moves the front wheels forward 2" so that the tires wouldn't rub when you turn sharp.

Rubbing tires are a bummer. I have had them interfer with the brake peddle linkage too = no brakes when turning left? Oh Chit

What was your plan when you ordered the 3" lift? Just asking and gathering information...

The original concept was to reduce the gap between the body and the tires. Not really into the the high lift look.
