Question want to lift my 96

Is it possible to lift my body on my 96 by just adding a 3" block over my front spring and making my rear shackles longer or is that to simple, everything that they sell is a spindle lift for the front is there a reason for that, that I'm not seeing

Possible... yes.... But I wouldn't do it. By pushing the spring down 3" you're gonna be forcing your A-Arms down at an increased angle, which is going to throw your camber waaaayyy off. Your tires would never wear evenly and it would probably drive like a nightmare.

I was trying to gain body clearance and then i would put bigger tires for ground clearance, I was going to put the block above the front spring to lift the body i didn't think that would move the spring on the angle , i need to go look at the cart and see if i was wrong on what i was looking at thanks for the info and I'll get back.

It will definitely throw it off... Wayy offff. Just by stacking two additional 1/4" Plates, we see noticeable camber differences.
