Default Mounting FSIP 500amp on Precedent

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for mounting a FSIP 500amp controller to a Precedent with the 8V X 6 conversion?

The electronics mount to the back of the battery box.. the location for the original controller is very tight so I had to cut the cover and the box to try and keep the controller in the original location...

I'm guessing the controller can't get wet so I'm looking to make a housing out of aluminum...

Just wanted to see how others are mounting the controller with this setup..

I'll post pics later to show more detail

Here is what I did, cut a piece of aluminum and mounted some legs on it that I bolted to the frame. I cut a hole in the middle of the piece of aluminum so that when the controller is mounted to it, the back of the controller would be exposed to air.......... and mounted a fan to it for cooling. Relocating the electronics allow2 all of the space under the seat for batteries.

That thick piece of aluminum is a huge heat sink How is the fan controlled?

A button sized thermostat attached to the controller gives the fan power at 120 degrees F or higher, and closes below 120.

Sounds simple enough. How often does it run?
