Ruff and Tuff Hunter Steering Loose
I have a Ruff & Tuff Hunter Lifted electric cart that has a loose steering linkage. Since parts are hard to find for these, I was wondering if anyone knew if these carts used suspension and/or steering parts from another maker? Here is what I have: the steering is about 1/2 a steering wheel turn between start of movement of the wheels. The rack and pinion seems to be tight and it moves a vertical shaft that is about 6-8" long that hooks on the bottom to the two steering bars. The looseness seems to be in that vertical shaft. it appears to be some sort of bearing that bolts in via a flange around it into the front frame. I don't know what this part is called and I cannot seem to find a parts drawing on one of these Ruff & Tuff carts. Does anyone know what this part is called and/or where I can get drawings and part lists for these carts? how about another maker who uses something similar that might bolt up.
I really appreciate any help or information that anyone can offer. Thanks. |
