Question Heim Joint Replacement Madjax 6" Heavy Duty Lift Kit

Had a ball joint break completely out of the heim joint last week on a club car precedent using a madjax 6" Heavy Duty Lift Kit

The Chromoly heim joints seem to be the way to go for a good long lasting replacement. Going to go ahead and replace both bottom heim joints on each side for good measure and want two new jam nuts.

The stock Heim joint on a madjax 6" HD is 5/8 - however, I'm not certain on the correct size replacement of the ball joint hole diameter.

I believe the regular madjax 6" lift kit can use the: American Star 4130 Chromoly 1/2 Inch XMR8 Rod Ends/Heim Joints
- uses a /2-20 SAE Thread Pitch with 1/2 Inch with a (.500) Hole

So since this is the HD lift kit using 5/8 heim joints .. is the hole diameter for the inner ball race still be the same at .500? or would it use a bigger BALL WIDTH: .625

Anyone that can point in the right direction? Much appreciated.

If you're ordering a 5/8 threaded hiem, chances are it's going to have a 5/8 bolt opening. I'd double check to make sure what you're ordering is for a 1/2 bolt. You could always use a reducer spacer in the 5/8 opening if need be.

If you plan on replacing the heim joint with chrome moly 5/8" heims, they more that likely are going to use a 5/8" ball joint. Just make sure what you purchase uses an 1/2" ball joint to accommodate the 1/2" bolt.

I read you now.. Looks like these are 5/8 with 1/2 hole diameter. Should do the trick.
