Default Lifted G2 Front Wheels Rubbing

I have a G2 with a 4” Lift Kit. Standard wheels, but I’ve fitted AT tyres. At full lock the insides of the tyres rub on the shocks. Apart from not steering full lock is there anything I can do?

If you are using stock wheels, that might be the problem. Most lift kits require 10" wheels with an offset to clear.

If you are using 22" tires, usually you need a 6" lift to clear them. Not sure what size tires you are running.

You could try wheel spacers, they will space the tires out farther away from the frame/shocks and give you more clearance for turning.

They are the standard. Would that be 8”? Do you have a recommendation for spacers? Seems to be lots of varied opinions on which ones to use!

I've just always used good 6061 aluminum spacers. 1" might do it, 1.5" will definitely clear. One thing, sometimes spacing the wheels out makes them rub in the corners of the front fender if it's not lifted high enough.

Check with some of our sponsors on the sponsors page. They sell them.

Here's some I found

Dumb question...do you buy them for the rear wheels too? Would it look weird if you don’t?
