Main Positive is Hot, Nut welded to the post?

That is what I am trying to say. Your main connections should be on the bottom. Your mains should not have to travel through your other connections.

Which fuse do you have 250a or 400a?
You can still get a burn with a poor high resistance connection at 200a.
The fuse tab may not have maximum contact area with the battery post if the voltmeter wire is between them.
The main fuse doesn't have to be on the battery post, but closer to the battery the better.

Don't know but I think Mooncarter is talking that "bar" not the fuse. What is it? It appears to be bolted directly to the battery.

That’s just the battery strap/hold down

i wouldn't use that little sheet metal battery clamp on anything, much less a golf cart
but any auto parts store will have a heavy battery cable with the big clamp
my whole cart is wired in parts store 4 ga cables (all stock)
you might need to move that battery to another position in the order

Well it must be the angle because it looks like the hold down bolt is going into the battery.

At first glance it looked to me a little like there is a screw thru the hold down plate going into the battery case.
Looking at the battery stickers on either side of the plate, the batteries are reversed and the middle of the plate lines up between the batteries.
It looks like a piece of steel being used to replace the OEM hold down plates.
Not sure I would want that near the battery terminals.
Our used cart came with no battery hold down plates, so I 3D printed a set.
Could print them in any color, but black was fine.

It's not metal.

It's the CC OEM old school, flat battery hold downs. It's located between 2 adjacent batteries doing its job. The picture just looks like it's bolted into a battery.

As for fixing the lug; drill and tap following the link movin-on posted above. Do Not use the auto battery cable you linked, it will not fix your problem, only compound it. Also, do not use auto 12V battery cables for your battery connections. The cable stand count is very low compared to high quality welding cable and will cause resistance issues. i.e. heat buildup causing other issues down the line. (Sorry to break that to you _ogre)
