You never answered my question when i said in your photo I could not see the pre-charge resistor.

Also the value of the resistor "curtis" used was different than the one the "ALLTRAX" controler uses...

A diode is a one way valve, when you install it backwards is is good as a solid piece a wire. So in this case you would have a direct short across the solenoid activation circuit. Sometimes there is no damage and sometimes there is.

Some of the club car square shaped solenoids had an internal diode. These solenoids are identified by a red + on one of the solenoid activation terminals.

I'm sorry, I responded in post 13 but it was below another quoted comment. Yes the resistor is there, behind the hump, and yes it was changed to a different value for the 400 amp solenoid.

You can see the black lead off the post on the left and the resistor is the blue horizontal piece behind the red/blue wires.

LOL. Turns out it was a bad controller. Sent it back to Altrax today. This GC project has been a real PITA. I wasn't even planning on the controller upgrade, should have left it stock!

That's the plan...I gave this project 2 months to be completed. I've already run in to delays between FedEx losing a rear seat kit :thumb down: (yea how do you lose a 100 pound package) and now this controller issue. Oh well, like I said I have time...and a back up cart if needed
