That sounds fair from what I've been seeing.
I've only had the cart for less than 2 weeks and, since it has a 90 day warranty, they're coming to look at it this morning sometime. I'll let all know what they find or what I need.
Thank for all your quick and helpful responses.

I seriously doubt the 90 day warranty will cover you shorting the motor. Good luck and let us know the outcome.

I sort of doubt it as well, but we'll see. I'll post the outcome when they leave.

In all fairness, you should pay for the service call when the seller comes out to look at the cart. It's not a warranty issue.

Thank you for the lesson on etiquette and protocol. I had no intention of NOT paying for a service call. I just didn't think it was necessary to express that fact.

Scotty, you're not the only one that read it that way since the 90 day warranty issue was made clear in that post.

Sometimes what's posted isn't what's meant.
The tone of voice and accented syllables are missing. I may have read iot wrong. If I did I apologize, I was looking at it from a sellers point of view.

Scottyb,
No apology needed. I'm sure I was being overly sensitive and a little stressed over my idiocy concerning the cart. Especially when I re-read post 11.
At any rate, they just left, after putting in an Alltrax controller and a new mocor unit. The motor was fine and even though I told the tech what I did re: shorting across the terminals, he said the controller could have been on the way out. After replacing the controller the cart was still surging as it was when I got it. He replaced the mocor unit and smooth as can be, with 19mph on the gps. The go pedal is really sensitive and will take some getting use to.
There was no charge for the service call or parts, but a hefty tip for the tech. Sorry again for the snippiness.
