I will be starting my ezgo build soon
I will be starting my ezgo build in a few days. I have the front a arms and spindles/hubs from a yamaha raptor 660 that I will be grafting on to the front of my buggie. If there is some one who has used this same set up I need all the advice I can get. I don't have acces to a raptor 660 so I am not sure about how far to space the apart. I also will be putting a 1982 KZ550
motor in it.My cart was electric so I don't have a rearend with a reverse. I am still looking for one. I could use the rearend i have but, I think I will need reverse. I have been looking at some rear shocks but, I don't know what spring rate I will need. it will be a trail/offroad buggie.I will post some pictures of my build as soon as I learn how. Jim |

Re: I will be starting my ezgo build soon
I started cutting and welding on my 2001 ezgo. I have had a few changes in my original plan. I am going with a v twin insted of the motorcycle engine.
I have been getting the front end ready for the a arms and that is about all I have done up to this point. I will try to get the a arms mounted tomorrow. My wheels and tires should be here next week so I should be able to tell if I am on the right track or not. I will try to post some pictures of my progress. Jim |

Re: I will be starting my ezgo build soon
I've been looking at Raptor a arms for a bit now for my sand cart build so I'll be watching to see how it works for you. Why not run Raptor shocks?

Re: I will be starting my ezgo build soon
Hear are some pictures of my build I have not posted in a while.
Everything is just tacked together so I can make changes and adjustments as I build. I will be useing a modified 18 hp vanguard. I went with the transaxle from surpluscenter. once I finish getting it all tacked together I will have the frame sand blasted and then finish welding. Jim |
