Default 2pg Drive Clutch Removal

81 marathon. Its been a while since Ive asked this question, so I figured I would get a quick refresher. Do I need to remove the engine to swap out the drive clutch. Ordering a comet. Wasn't sure if I needed to completely remove the engine, or just remove the cradle bolts and jack up the engine? I removed the cover this way a while back, but even after removing all necessary bolts, the cover was a booger to get off and out. It kept hitting the fuel tank.

I don't mind pulling the motor, but I don't want to do things the hard way.

Ford I think pulling the engine is the easy way some may differ but with it out it's a ton easer to work on. I would also add look at the seal while your there and any clean up needed.

I am sure that the comet clutch is going to provide more torque, Especially because my original clutch is getting worn out. 30 years has been rough on it. I will likely be ordering it from one of the site sponsors. Haven't figured out where exactly yet.
