Re: 05 club car wont run
The readings indicate the solenoid should be clicking, if not, Your solenoid is Bad.
I did not see any diodes across the small terminals, they may be internal, is there any polarity markings on the solenoid (+ and -)?. Disconnect both spade connectors from the small posts of the solenoid. Set your meter to 2kΩ setting. Measure the resistance across the small posts, You should get somewhere between 200Ω and 600Ω resistance. If You get nothing (0L on the meter), the solenoid coil is bad. If You get 0Ω, the internal diode is shorted. |

Re: 05 club car wont run
I cant catch a break
put new solenoid in press petal it would engage tires would spin around about 3 times then stop then about 1 sec later the solenoid would open wait about 1 min press petal same thing then I was testing the solenoid coil between the two terminals and one lead slipped and they touch together made a spark now i have about 3 volt between the two coil terminals still reads 51 volts from 1 terminal to neg on bank took new solenoid off and put on ohm/beep got 183 omh between two small terminal old solenoid that didnt work before reads 187 between two small terminal |

Re: 05 club car wont run
Unfortunately that would have taken +48v through the controller solenoid activation transistor straight to negative.
I would agree there is a very good chance the Controller activation got damaged. You may want to disconnect the battery pack for a minute to fully reboot the controller, long shot.... Also, did the new solenoid come with a diode or is it internal? Did You put the pre-charge resistor back on top of the big posts? |

yes put resistor back on top, but took it off after the arch to retest and same result the new solenoid does have 2 liitle screws on each little terminal right below where wires connect |
