Re: Need Wiring Diagram for Curtis 1520-5501
Pin 20 likely goes to a 'turf' switch or a rabbit/turtle switch.
Pin 8 Should go down to the pedal (0v at pedal full up, batt V at pedal just barely pressed through full down) Are you getting any particular fault codes? |

Re: Need Wiring Diagram for Curtis 1520-5501
Sorry guys, I'm still not clear on the violet wire. A friend sent me yet another diagram for my cart showing it from pin 20 to the key switch, but as you can see, it just sort of stops at the key switch and is not shown actually connecting to the switch. So i have a blue and green wire, does it double up with one of those? Or does it have it's own terminal?
Also, as I don't have a mode switch as described above, could they mean the run/tow switch? School starts next week and I would love to get this out of the shop so we can turn our attention to the buggy. thank you all for your help so far..... Brian www.morethanthecar.com |

Re: Need Wiring Diagram for Curtis 1520-5501
To at least get the thing powered up, you need B+ on pins 2 (lt blue) and 4 (gray). and of course B- on the post.
Pin4 comes from your tow/run and pin2 is the interlock from the OBC, if the obc is bad you may not be getting the pin2 voltage you need. Pin 20 lt purple is for the mode switch, not tow/run, or in this case it appears to be a secondary position on the key switch. If the controller wont even power up this one is the least of your concern, the key does not actually power the controller on, its just an interlock to the drive function. The Purple wire with a white stripe is your ground for the throttle, again this wont stop it from powering on. You could try bypassing the OBC with a jumper from pin2 to pin4 just to see if it will turn on at least. |

[QUOTE=mjroman20;1532518]If its any help a 1520 is the exact same pinout as a 1268.
How do you know these are the same? I agree they look the same but how do you know for sure? I can't find anything online about the 1520-5501 Curtis Controller. |
