It could be a myriad of things causing it, but the most likely culprits may come down to the controller as it is either seeing reverse (which has happen before) or it is seeing the cart rolling when it thinks it is stopped and is applying the roll-away alarm.

In either or any case, I would definitely unplug the buzzer and continue using the cart while I troubleshoot and test as opposed to just buying a controller. Now if I had one handy to test with, well heck yeah I would do that....

I'll give the CRC a try. It does not run with the key off. I can hear the solenoid click whenever I press the GO pedal...even with the key off and in tow position. Is that normal?

Sounds like water in the controller connector. Unplug the 16 pin connector from the controller and blow it out.

I think you are hearing the MCOR click and not the main contactor (solenoid).

I tried this a few days ago, but the beeping continues.

With the charger plugged into the cart...the cart will stop beeping. I just realized the charger itself does NOT even have to be plugged into an electrical outlet for the cart to stop beeping. Could the charging plug on the cart be the cause of the beeping? Do carts beep to indicate low battery?

The issue appears to be Controller related.

When the charger DC cord is plugged into the cart, the OBC senses the relay coil and removes the +48v from the blue wire which puts the Controller in lockout mode.

Since that communication happens only between the OBC and the Controller and the controller stops activating the buzzer on a different pin, that eliminates any possibility of a short or cross-over circuit providing the negative to the buzzer since the buzzer positive comes from the Tow/Run switch and it remains on the buzzer the entire time.

If the issue was because of noise in the speed sensor signal, the cart would not drive "great".

It must be a problem with the Controller reverse buzzer activation FET.

Makes sense to me Sergio. Any harm in him unhooking the buzzer and using it as is?

It would be an issue if the problem was caused by a noisy speed sensor since when the Controller detects movement it also powers the Motor Field windings and shorts the Armature windings to stop the cart from rolling.

Since the issue appears to only be the buzzer driver, it will not cause any issues by just disconnecting the buzzer.

It could also be a great excuse to buy a new Controller
