94 Club Car Troubleshooting
Hello, I picked up a 94 CC DS today for cheap and I need some of the experts to point me in the right direction to get it running smoothly again. I am going to clean up the batteries and install new cables. It is a V glide 36 volt with a serial # A9412372852. It runs slowly but part of that I believe is the batteries were not maintained. I have watered them and have charged them up. The batteries are 5 years old only charging to about 80 % and then then the charger shuts off. Besides installing new batteries what else should I look for and or clean up to make sure it is running at its best.

Re: 94 Club Car Troubleshooting
Clean everything up, all connections etc. If you charge it and it's still slow as you say, most likely you are ready for new batteries. Sorry, no substitute for that.

Re: 94 Club Car Troubleshooting
I'm working on cleaning everything up and replacing any bad wiring I can see. What is the best way to clean the V Glide Wiper? It seems to work ok but not super smooth. Are there any tips you could give me to have it run or glide correctly over the copper?

Re: 94 Club Car Troubleshooting
This is a typical problem with these systems. If it is warped, burnt, etc. just replace it. You will be much better off.

Re: 94 Club Car Troubleshooting
Be sure to clean up the contacts on the F/R switch. This can become a problem on a series cart.

Re: 94 Club Car Troubleshooting
Thanks for all of the tips guys. I broke down and bought new US batteries today. I plan to run all new cables and possibly do the high step v glide bypass. If I do this do I add a new heavy duty solenoid or just match the same one as the original?
