Well if anything it’s let me pull a few wires and get some accessories setup while it’s not running. I went ahead and ordered a new charger receptacle from Amazon anyway in case that was the issue. Old one looked a bit ragged anyway and I am not sure if I am supposed to have an operable LED light on it. Looked like it when I took it apart. The grey sensor wire is supposed to trigger the charger from what I read via some temp setting. Mine looks ok but you can’t beat new for 68 or so dollars with free shipping.

Where did you get a charger for $68?

If I was gonna spend money on a charger I would have bought a Lester summit II or a Delta IC650 that can be updated and can get charge data from.

It was just the receptacle for the cart. Charger is gonna cost me $250-300.

Well here is the inside of my Delta Q. I wasn't gonna open it up until I heard the rattle today. Figured a quick look wasn't gonna hurt anything. I suppose its toast. I do wonder what caused all that damage however. It looks like something blew up in there with all the black plastic pieces and burned up parts.

Yep, I still think the charger is bad too . The plastic pieces were a bracket that holds that big copper coil down. Betting the charger was dropped pretty bad to break that bracket. Coil probably rubbed through on black heatsink, creating major short.

Almost looks like a capacitor exploded. Either way, it's TOATS now. (TO' All To Sh..) Time for a smarter charger.

New DPI just got setup. I learned a few things while doing it. My Trojans are DC 8V’s not T-875’s. I had to set mode 4 on the DPI to charge after calling their tech line. Very polite and helpful service from them btw. Not happy about the DC-8V’s. I found a guy close by that sells Trojan and Crown at a good price so I may upgrade after the results of this charge cycle. It kinda makes me wonder what charge profile was on my fried Delta Q. Right now there isn’t much I need to do/for the cart. I’ll upgrade the batteries next and then the controller and buy a decent trailer to haul it around. I want 15’s on the trailer wheels and maybe 6x12L. My batts are still bubbling while at rest so I ordered new caps off eBay. I know these still have some life but I need a good excuse to drop the $950 on a new set of 190ah Crowns.

Thanks all who contributed for the advice. Batteries seemed to gain a volt at rest. I am at 50.9 right now. Very happy with the DPI right now. Voltage does dip under load however but I think that might be stock controller/big tire related. Might forego the new batteries in lieu of a Alltrax upgrade first.
