48 to 12 volt converter
Have a 2012 ez go 48 volt txt with what I believe is factory installed Sure Power 48 to 12 volt 20 amp conveter. Since converter does not have option for switched power, and connected to pack all the time I want to add on/off 30 amp. Toggle switch to turn it on/off( it seems to draw around 1 amp Even with no 12 volt accessories on). Question is it better to add the switch to + or - 48 volt supply wire to converter or does it matter
Thanks |

Re: 48 to 12 volt converter
For me I always break the positive wire instead of the negative. That way I don't have power sitting at the device.

Re: 48 to 12 volt converter
Since the frame is not grounded from the factory on most electric golf carts, it is neither positive or negative. So, in a way you still have power sitting there.
