Default 2008 4 - 12v Precedent Voltage Reducer Question

Im not great with technical wiring.

I have a 4/12v precedent and intend to keep it that way
Attached is the voltage reducer I have.
Im only gonna be using it for a USB charger and stereo.

Im assuming the 48v + Input comes from battery 1 (+)
and Negative 48v input comes battery 4 (-)?

the 12v out will be running to a fuse block to power accessories.

is this correct? just want to ensure im doing to correctly?

I dont want to mess with factory harness or pigtails

And all the 12v accessory negatives go back to the voltage reducer -12v lead.

If you use the one you have that is correct. Unless your cart has an OBC, then you would hook the negative input to B- at the controller.

If he has a fuse panel with a 12v - bar I don't see why he can't use that.

same B- that the headlight/taillight kit utilizes?

My OEM fuse panel was just a distribution bar with fuses, no -12v.
I've added a real fuse panel that has a -12v stud.

Why does having an OBC need the 48v reducer negative connection at the controller?

There is only one B- on the controller. I'm not familiar with your light kit but yes, if the light kit gets its negative from there it is the same one.

The OBC monitors battery usage and works in conjunction with the charger to replenish the batteries. If you connect at pack negative the OBC won't read what it needs to read.

I'm not sure how the OBC accomplishes this but the electronic wizards in here can explain it.
