Default 48v club car won’t move

I have a club car 48v with a vglide and if I jack the back wheels up, the wheels will barely turn when I push the gas. Sitting on the ground with a person on it, the cart won’t move. Where should I start? The batteries are brand new. Thanks

Did you change anything besides the batteries? Did this just suddenly happen, or has it been coming on for awhile? Have you tested the voltage in the batteries. Does it do the same in Reverse? I'm not much help, but these are some questions you probably should have answers for when the smart people come to help.

I just got the cart yesterday. I know it’s a 1999 ds, it doesn’t have a tow/run switch it’s has the lever type forward reverse switch. It has a 1204-410 controller. The motor doesn’t have a speed sensor on it. It has hook ups of a1,a2,f1,f2. I’m pretty new to the golf cart stuff but with that type switch and not having a tow/run switch, shouldn’t it have a series wound motor not a regan type? Like I said I’m new to this and learning as I go but from what I looked up on the different motors, it should have a series motor. Also, I have a charger for a power drive 2 48v, can I use that charger on this cart? Thanks again all for the input

You have the wrong motor.

Thanks. After looking at everything, I thought I wasn’t right. Well, I guess I’ll buy a new motor. Thanks for the help.

Don’t be so much in a hurry to get a new motor. I remember reading on one of these posts that at one time the series motor used f1 f2 instead of S1 S2. This was only for a year or two than went back to the S1 S2 on the motor.
