Default My new brakes/pads wont fit?

Trying to put new pads and shoes on my 95 CC, but there is no way in hell that the drum will fit over the pads.. OEM pads and drums bought today but after installation the drums will not even come close to fitting over into position. I have reoriented the shoes twice, and backed the cam adjuster all the way down...WTF Gives????

It would be very helpful if you could show a photo of the brake pads installed.

You are positive the parts number of the shoes is correct for your cart?

Did you install them correctly in regards to the Trailing and Leading shoe?

O.K. Gents, I once again claim my stupidity. In a hurry to get them done before a dinner date, I misread the shoes and tried 2 leading shoes instead of the matched set. This ain't my first set of shoes on a vehicle, but my rush to get it done....well, stupid is as stupid does! New brakes in place...onward and upward!

Do not think for a moment you are the first to do that and is why I inquired. That has happened more time then I care to count... Lol!

Glad you got it.

Yep, would have bet my Precedent that that was the problem. I asked for a picture because I was afraid you would not know about leading vs trailing shoe. I'm glad NoleFan4Ever was more direct than me. Also, glad to know this was not your first rodeo and all is now well.

Like Nole said, don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I have done this too.

In fact, I hate doing brakes so much i get my son (who is a whiz at this) to do them.
