Drop in Lithium Battery
Well like many I just changed over to Lithium. I ended up going with 3 of the Allied 48V batteries and so far have been happy. No issues to report other than the Lester Summit II charger would not fully charge the batteries. So I just changed it out for one of the Allied onboard chargers.
The cart still has the stock drive train other than a 6" lift and tires. No upgrades to the controller or motor and I went from a top speed of 16 MPH to 19 around the neighborhood on paved roads. As for distance, not done testing but so far falls in line with what Allied has on their website. Side note, if anyone is looking to purchase a Lester Summit II 650w Charger 36-48v unit. I am selling mine for $275. Just purchased January of this year. This includes the charger, onboard cable, power cord and shipping. |
