Re: Potentiometer Problems
A quick update as to what I said previously. The "Run" switch has the open side going to the 36v+ and the closed side feeds the key switch's open side power and the key switch's closed side feeds the pot box power.

Re: Potentiometer Problems
Okay I have discovered the problem and it's with the controller I was using. The reason for the jumping is because the controller I was using is an Alltrax 24-48 volt for a EZGO ITS throttle response and I was trying to utilize the 0k-5k ohm pot box. My next question is I have a Alltrax 24-48 volt for a CC 5k-0k ohm resistance typically seen in the MCOR. Is there a possibility I could reverse the pot box so that it reads 5k-0k ohm resistance and it would power the controller correctly, or would I be wasting my time due to the computers used in CC carts??

Re: Potentiometer Problems
Wow the plot certainly thickens here.... Now the experts need to step in. I hope someone can help you. If I understand what you are saying you have 2 controllers you could use. #1 is a e-z-go its ... #2 is a CC 5k-0 ohm.. you have 1 Pot which is a 0-5k... I really would love to see someone answer this one...

Re: Potentiometer Problems
You re-program the alltrax controller to use whatever throttle you want as long as its reprogramable. You don't have to change the throttle on the cart, just the input type in the controller. The software is free and simple to use, you can get the cable at radioshack. All of this could have been avoided if this info was posted.

Re: Potentiometer Problems
It's a non-programmable controller stuck on 5k-0k ohm throttle response for a CC and the other is a non-programmable controller stuck on an EZGO ITS throttle response...

Re: Potentiometer Problems
So could I reverse the pot box to read 5k-0k ohms thus utilizing the Alltrax NPX 24-48v CC throttle response controller?

Re: Potentiometer Problems
Yes, it has been done... when you open it up you will probably find 3 terminals and only 2 are used you just need to test around with your meter to see where you need to connect to get what you want.... these are small soldered connections .... Roady89 helped me change this one around
