Yep... I have one on mine and that is exactly all you have to do, or at least one way you can do it.

See the attached pic of my connections... just make sure it's fuse protected!

This is really good thank you. Just to clarify so I understand you pulled it off the #2 and #3 battery right? Does it not matter as long as you pull the positive and then the negitive in series it will just pull 12 volts? Nice Cart by the way, i like the color.

One should always verify the voltages before connecting the load.
A good and preferably digital volt meter is your best friend when working on electric carts.

Correct, just make sure your connection choice is pulling only 12 volts.

So who are you cheering for in the Super Bowl?

Lights... which I have used maybe twice. Obviously, not the best way to run lights if you use them alot, but for me it works out fine...

I know some folks say the lights will degrade the two batteries quicker than the rest of the pack, but all the voltage checks I have done has never revealed such. This pack has been in since Nov 2008.

i would think that the draw would be so little so infrequently that you would never have a problem.... however if you run a stereo all the time and lights and night all the time then a 12v acc. batt may be in order. I have two lights hooked up to two of my batts, and have never had a problem, however they are only used at night in the hood' infrequently
