Just gotta vent
*** 26 yr old kid crashed my cart. Took out a chain link fence. Bent one of fence posts 90 degrees, right down to the ground. Bent both horizontal fence post that were connected to it also. Cart damage seems to be limited to a snapped front axle (5" lift), a bent shock, one broken head light and a **** load of scratches on the front of the body. I'm going to tig the axle back together and plate it. I should make him buy a new one.

Re: Just gotta vent
This is a classic. Cell phone. Got to close to edge of the road which has a low shoulder. The fence is about 5' from the road.

Re: Just gotta vent
shoooo, that sucks ! Two ways to go about it I guess, get pissed at him or get pissed at yourself and you hope you both learned a lesson....not sure what kind of kid he is and if he hates it as much as you do...
Either way it sucks and hope you get everything straightened out (no pun intended). |

Re: Just gotta vent
I assume the 26 year old walked away from the accident relatively unhurt? Sucks to have the damages, but look on the bright side.... now you have an excuse to repaint or do other upgrades.

Re: Just gotta vent
Yea, the dumb *** is ok except for the chain link x pattern on his forehead. I'm think'in maybe I should mod the old stock axle for a 5" lift. The aftermarket axle was made out of 16 ga tubing. The stock one seems to be made from heavier material

There's your new paint pattern a chain link fence pattern When people ask you tell them, that way you will be reminded to not let anyone else drive your cart. |

Re: Just gotta vent
Hey Terry,
Sorry to hear about the wreck--LOVE the chain link fence paint idea! Hey, if the kid wrecked it,sounds like free grunt labor until she is fixed! |
