So you think it will be fine to run the motor till it drops? If so can a different type motor be installed in its place?

Sometimes when the motor goes it takes the controller out with it. There are other stronger Sepex motors but ideally we would be talking about a series cart when it comes to crawling around the woods .

That is often the way it is on your first cart..... you run what you brung.
So go with the 400a controller, solenoid and cable upgrade...... depending upon your application it may last years?

Ive got an 05 PDS and I have upgraded to 400 amp controller HD solenoid and 2 ga wires throughout the cart. Where I hunt we have a lot of hills and the cart does great. Make those upgrades and you'll be happy.

Now I'm confused.....I thought a series motor would would outperform a PDS cart all things equal.

No?

Well, it all depends on the application. As scottyb said, if you are hunting, a series motor would be better. If you are looking for speed and the regen option, then the PDS' Sepex motor is THE one.
