Default stuck pds motor

i looked, searched. whatever. could not find out why my pds motor would come off. final thindng to do was the 8# sledge. turns out on a pds, you need to remove a clip on the rear end and then pull the pds sensor out to reveale (sp) a machine screw and two washers. this motor was under water and trash anyway, but someone might have one that they could save. just info--wish i could have found this earleir . jim

Not quite right. What you have done is removed the motor case and field coils, but left the armature behind. In essence, you have taken the motor apart, not removed it. The armature is still attached to the input shaft. At this point some heat from a propane torch may be needed to finish the job.

In the pic,- see #4 that bumper slides in side the shaft on the armature, that splined shaft slides on the input shaft of the rear end, that armature need to come off that shaft, like GORNOMAN said-
