Thanks Rib. thanks barry !! I will trace my wires to get a better understanding of the small terminals. I am still a little confused because the old solenoid is set up in cross formation where the new one is pretty straight forward with a front and back position, so I did not know which of the small terminal was + and -. For future reference, How do you test these with a volt meter ?

The solenoid activation circuit is not polarity specific.
Read that again You decide which side is positive and which is negative.... only the diode is polarity sensitive... It has a positive and negative end and MUST be install correctly according to your set up = which post you have chosen to be positive or negative. |
