You need half a cart wrapped around a controller to test it... Not just any cart. One with the right voltage and throttle input signal too. For that reason most shops need the cart to test the controller.

i'm gonna get new batteries and get my controller rebuilt and boosted from 275amps to 400 amps thought they could check it first....mines a 94 marathon series cart

As Scotty said, most shops don't have the ability to bench test a controller.
The rebuilder has that ability but if you're sending it in for rework, why would you want to test it first? |
