99 Workhorse Electric build
Well I am helping my buddy (Rob) build him a cart. He has been thinking about getting one for a little bit, but once he saw mine being put together in the garage I think he started getting the bug. Well he knew he wanted a hunting buggie, and he was not really concerned with going too fast. Well I knew we had to find a series cart if we were going to make this work. Well I found an 07 series, nice cart, clean but it was a little pricey. Well Rob thought about it overnight and the next day I happen to look on CL, saw this cart on there and told him to get over there and take a look. It was a 99 Workhorse 800, otherwise a glorified series golf cart . Well they were asking $350 for it, but he got it for $250 , no controller, batteries dead,,,,,, well that will all change, parts will be on order soon. I just got to compile a list

Re: 99 Workhorse Electric build
Well got some of the parts off of the cart, the box, rear supports, the front cowl, rear seat support and rear strut supports. I gave them to Rob last night when he came and picked up his trailer, he is going to have his nephews powder coat them again,,,,, oh ya he owns his own powder coating business,,, and he is like 2 miles from me How convenient!

Re: 99 Workhorse Electric build
this is going to be fun to watch mark. actually, the cart looks pretty decent, even the batt tray. did you move out of the trailer and into that shop? it looks like a good upgrade.

Re: 99 Workhorse Electric build
THat looks like a great platform for a hunting buggie. I just picked up the same cart a few weeks ago, had to give $600 for it. I say you guys almost stole it
It doesn't look too rusty? I'm guessing you are going 48v? With a new SPM controller? |

I agree a complete HD unit almost guarantees trouble free operation.
