Re: Battery pricing questions
Your ideas could cost more than a battery conversion.

Re: Battery pricing questions
I had 1K acres just outside Abeline. Would drive elec cart within 400 yds of stand and walk in to stand. Other times drove 4wheeler direct to stand. Succesful hunts both ways. Some say deer don't care. Think it depends on the wind and how early you get to the stand as deer are grazers and mobile. No/low noise or scent and they keep coming. 3K acres is a lot of terrain. Gas may be the way to go with a silent exhaust. Batts may not have the distance/stamina you need.

Re: Battery pricing questions
3000 acres is alot for an electric cart, I run my cart on 500 acres and it does the job. But its always on the charger when I'm back at the cabin. Yes gas stink, we play hide and seek at night with some of the gas carts and I can always find them from the smell.

Re: Battery pricing questions
I don't really understand or get gas carts.... I mean to each his own but why wouldn't you just get or use an atv or rhino (which I have and I don't care how much cash you throw at a cart, it aint gona measure up) type vehicle if you want gas?

We have decent roads which give us plenty of places to go on the property. One day soon I will measure all those roads. It is right incredible. |

Re: Battery pricing questions
If you want your batteries to last, you should never run the battery pack below the volts of the cart 36/48 when the cart reaches these volts 36 or 48 it's time to recharge, never run the cart till it stops

Re: Battery pricing questions
They're 14 & 16. Their job is school work and yard work right now.
I have a gauge to install for the battery monitoring. Right now I don't have to worry about it since a battery terminal nut came lose and melted down that particular terminal. New batteries and cables to come. And no, I am not replacing things just for one battery. As put out earlier, I have mismatched things and I want to fix it. The fried terminal is now the finishing touch on the old batteries. |
