Charge Meter Problems
Hello everyone-new member here. I have a 2014 Bad Boy Buggy Ambush iS. I'm posting here because there's no BBB category, and the company has been bought by EzGo. Anyway, the state of charge meter seems to be out of whack. I got in the cart today after it had charged for 2 days. The batteries had plenty of water. The meter (needle type) read about 25%. It quickly dropped to 0 but the cart still had plenty of power and the headlights were bright. I noticed if I floored it, the meter would swing up to about half, and stay there as long as I was flooring it, then drop down to 0 when I released the pedal. I drove it a couple of miles and never seemed to lose power. The cart is under warranty and the meter has been replaced once. Has anybody had a similar experience or an idea what this may be? I would like to get this straightened out while still under warranty. So far the dealer has replaced the gauge once for the same issue, it seemed to get better for a while, but was never 100% right. Thanks in advance for any insight on this.

Re: Charge Meter Problems
I would take it back to the dealer and get it fixed under warranty. Working on a cart that is under warranty is not a good idea if you short something out accidentally.

Re: Charge Meter Problems
Thanks for the reply. I'm definitely not going to try to fix anything myself at this point. Really just wondering if this is a gauge problem, or something worse. Also wondering if a digital type gauge might tell me more.

Re: Charge Meter Problems
You apparently have a faulty gauge or a wiring problem. Digital indicator will not solve whatever is wrong unless it replaces a faulty analog device. If the cart performs like it should the indicator is probably not indicating correct.

Re: Charge Meter Problems
OK thanks Radioman. I'm calling the dealer in the morning and see what he says. When It's resolved, I will update. Thanks again.
