I am replacing my stock cables with 4ga, is there an electrical reason why the negative cable must pass through a hole on the OBC, can I re-route this? It's an 01 Regen

Can not be re routed it is read by the OBC to tell when to charge, rate, and when full.

Re: negative main through OBC?
The 4 ga will fit thru the hole w/out the terminal.
While I had mine off the other day I tested a #2 it went half way thru, if it were lubed it would probably fit. |

Yea, THanks, I cut the terminal off and put a new one on, appears to be working fine.

Re: negative main through OBC?
Is this true?? I am running my precedent with all 4ga and it is no longer routed through the obc... Seems fine, but now I'm wondering if it is not charging properly ? How would I tell? Also is there any documentation that explains this ? I wondered if that wire going through was important...
