Default Adjust shock angle to help camber issues

Have a 1981 Yamaha g1. Redone most of it. Waiting to do the front end $$ lol. Already replaced motor tires repainted. New front shocks but it does this when driving/ \. Has anyone tried to change shock angle to more up and down to help this??

That will only allow the tires to grind on the shocks easier...

Ok thanks. That's why I asked. Going to do a jakes 6in and 450r shocks this fall. I put a 670cc v twin in her, and well I don't think the stock will hold up lol. She does wheelies

The tires are doing this /\? Your springs are either too short or not still enough. The angle is fine and only would only need a change if your are trying to reduce the stiffness through the angle which is pointless on a golf cart.

If the shocks are good on a stock cart with people on it the tires should be straight or close. With nobody on it they can be out at top, or opposite with a big load on cart. Shocks get weak or big load they usually are in at top. This is normal.

Yes you can move the top of shock to change it if you want, just make a lift bracket to move it. Move the shock down it will make the top of tire come out. Just note the above info about weight on the cart.

Just remember a G1 has no reverse in the axle, so if you put a 4 stroke in you have none or need to put a 4 stroke axle in.

What you should check is your toe in, if it is off that can cause the tires to camber. Get on pavement and move forward and back say 20 foot slowly, watch the tires and see if camber changes a lot from going forward to going back, then you know toe is off.

If you put softer shocks on that can make it worse, part of the reason it works stock is the stock suspension only travels a few inches total. If you can fab stuff find an atv front to put on it. You may have to change the steering to a rack but you can get front brakes free and a great front suspension that way.

Wheelies? Well you sure did something right! I'm still trying to make my 420 clone do wheelies, it will only get front maybe 8" off ground if I try. Putting cam and rod in soon and maybe it will help some.

670 removed governor aftermarket drive and driven clutch. She is fun to drive.
