Default Low voltage at solonoid

I'm trying to repair a gas G22 There is only 6v at small red wire on solenoid so it wont energize and click. I cant seem to find any bad wires, could it be the switch at gas pedal? Can anyone give me some ideas of where to check next Battery has plenty of voltage.

Stick a volt meter probe into the brown wire lead from the key switch, should be full battery voltage 12+ volts, then do the same thing out of the stop switch to wire harness side, and should read the same voltage.

What was the voltage on the red wire coming out of the stop switch when the pedal was pushed?

On second thought I cant remember i'll have to check again. There should be full voltage there too I assume because after looking at a diagram I see that red and white wire goes thru the stop relay, then the regulator before the solenoid? Could a poor chassis ground cause this?

The red and white wire has the same voltage as the one at the solenoid 4v I stated there was 6v at solenoid but I was wrong.

Either the battery is total garbage, or the terminal on the end of the cable is not sending good power down the cable (I have seen bad terminals on the end of the cables many times). Poke your test leads directly into the round battery terminals & retest (the part of the battery terminals that are part of the battery, not the cart cables)
