starter/generator smoking and hot
Hello All,
My clutch locked up but not fully and then my starter generator started smoking bad as i pulled over. I towed it home but not sure why it would have done that. Any help on why it started smoking would be appreciated. Thanks, |

Re: starter/generator smoking and hot
Must be so worn it jammed and starter overheated trying to turn the starter belt or something like that. Remov3 the inspection cover on the clutch and see what happened

Re: starter/generator smoking and hot
Brush could have come out of the keeper and jam the commutator or the bearings locked up. Have seen both before.
