Default G16 Starting Issue

I have good spark and fuel. I sprayed carb cleaner in the carb and nothing. Any suggestions?

Check compression and let us know what test results are. May be valve adjustment

I got 147 on compression test. I did put some gas in the spark plug hole and it tried to start. I took the carb apart and cleaned it but it still won’t start.

Well, if putting fuel down the spark plug hole makes it want to run, we have narrowed the issue down to fuel.

I drained the tank, flushed the lines and rebuilt the carb. Putting it back together tonight. I will report later.

I would like to thank everyone that helped with the problem I was having. I found the issue to be the wires on the starter generator were reversed. That is how my problem started and the guy I took it to screwed it up worse than it was. Thanks everyone.

So the engine was cranking backwards? Sweet! I guess it was a fuel related issue after all.... The muffler never sends any fuel into the engine to burn.
