Why are folks opposed to regen braking? Downside?

I’m not a fan of it personally. I prefer the ability to coast if I let off the pedal. I added a speed magnet to my cart for both the speed bump, but also because it killed the regen.

As MC said, I don’t know how much it actually contributes to charging the battery (I can’t imagine it’s much). But I just don’t like the way it feels.
