I'm running 28mph now, it has more left, with it by passed. I also changed to 100% synthetic oil and removed the foam pre-filter.
That's all i've done but, you cant stay in the throttle. The little motor screams!
If you cant hear the rpms and listen to when you should back off, DONT DO THIS!
This is my opinion.

I agree, you have to be able to listen to the engine. Like Scot said, the stock Yamaha's can scream, good engines.

I just zap strapped the throttle and carb cables together. Completely bypasses the gov and gives you actual throttle response. Got it up to 48kph with 23" tires. You gotta watch your rpms if you do it so you dont blow up your engine.

Thank U so much for the information

I failed to ask but wonder
1. What does tightening this nut do? Like what does it do to spped cart up,how does it effect gov? Take pressure off ?
-----
2. Just so I know on a other topic but someone may know
How does batt charge
Where is gen/alt
And how can I test w/volt meter or do test to ensure proper charging

Tightening the nut keeps a small bearing/bushing from traveling back and forth in the rearend that presses against the governor shaft causing it to pivot back and forth which pulls against and releases the small throttle cable that operates the throttle on the carb. Man, that was a long sentence with a lot of direction and I hope I got it right.
