Default Navitas Controller center mount?

I just ordered the Navitas 5kw/600A kit for my 2008 Precedent. I have the 4x12v setup with the controller mounted in the center of the battery box (converting to 72v Lithium).

All of the installs I've seen pictures/videos of have the system mounting on the rear of the battery box and wanted to know if I should expect any difficulties with my center mount.

Anyone done this before? Any additional wiring or cable extensions that might be necessary? Thanks for any help.

If you are converting to a single Leaf pack (10 module pack) for the 72V system, You can toss that center plate. I plate the entire bottom of the tub with .090 aluminum plate. Then the harness can be rerouted internally to the controller mounted on the tub bottom plate. This picture is of McJefe installation of a 14 module pack in a 2006 Precedent (4-12). I supplied him the aluminum plates and he did the rest. The main harness will not be affected or need mods, just rerouting. Maybe the tow/run or speed sensor wiring will need lengthening but that is about it. He could have mounted his charger on the driver side where he left some storage space.

Here is link to McJefe build thread, which should explain a lot of what he did.

That is one clean looking install. I am going with a custom build LiFePo4 pack so I plan to leave the center plate in.
